This is a photo of my Great Grandfather, Edwin Dowsing Gedge. 1869-1914. He was employed as an Inspector Of Public Nuisances, at West Ham Borough Council. Here he is standing in his Masonic Dress. As a Mason, after his death, his two sons Edwin Henry, and Charles Ronald, (my Grandad) were sent the the Royal Masonic School at Bushey, Hertfordshire, and their mother Alice Mary was found employment through the Masons.
