Opened in September 1992. The school has the capacity for 420 Primary pupils and a 52 place Nursery. The site was previously occupied by Plashet Lane Board School - sometimes referred to as Arragon Road School, which was built in 1890. It was later renamed Plashet School and closed in 1940 after war damage. After being repaired it became East Ham Technical College of Building. This was demolished at some time between October 1984 (when the image was taken), and January 1993 (when Cleves Primary School opened). Priory Park is on what was East Ham Council's Arragon Road Works Depot and the adjoining Upton Park Goods & Coal Yard. The Council depot finally closed in the late 1970s when it was relocated to the Folkestone Road depot.
The original school was in Plashet Road and opened in 1885, it had places for 1,200 pupils. It was reorganised in 1930 for junior boys, girls and infants and again in 1945 into mixed juniors and infants. The school was used as an Air Raid Precaution station in the Second World War. In 1988 it became the Upton Community Centre, which included the One Love centre and a new school was built on the site of the former Harold Road School, which was demolished.
Stock Street board school was opened in 1888, as a three-storey building for 1,316. A school furniture store was added in 1891 and a drill hall in 1900. The school was reorganized in 1930 for junior boys, junior girls, and infants, and in 1945 for mixed juniors and infants. It was renamed Curwen in 1949. It was demolished and this school building was built on the site in 1981. The school is at present being enlarged. (2009)
