Presented by the artist H.C. Fehr. The bust was unveiled at the opening of Passmore Edwards Museum on Thursday, October 18th 1900, by the Countess of Warwick, and then John Passmore Edwards opened the Building.
To comemorate the centenary of the death of Lord Nelson on 21st October, 1805 at the Battle of Trafalgar, a number of these small busts were produced which contained oak and copper from H.M.S. Victory.

The long awaited Dockers statue has finally been sited in the Royal Victoria Dock outside the ExCel exhibition centre, it depicts Dockers at work and it is dedicated to all the Dock Workers from the 1800s that had such a hard life.
